About Us

Jane

A passionate disability advocate with lived experience. I understand firsthand the challenges faced by individuals with mobility limitations. I co-founded Accessible Connections, a disability transport company based in the Gold Coast, to address these challenges. We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone can travel comfortably and independently. 

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013, relocated from Melbourne to the GC in 2014 so I could ride roller coasters every day. It helped that the warm weather was better for my mobility. 

Travel has been a huge part of my life. I have visited all but one of the Disney Resorts, swam with reef sharks, cave dived, survived the world’s fastest roller coaster, climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge and visited over 11 counties. I now enjoy road trips and want to bring this to other travellers who have accessibilty needs.

I am a co-founder of Accessible Connections, a wheelchair accessible transport company based on the Gold Coast. As a caregiver for my wife, who uses a wheelchair part time and other mobility aids, I have firsthand experience and deep empathy for the challenges faced by individuals with varying accessibility needs.

After a fun and sometimes hazardous career as a Glazier I have become a Support Worker. My goal is to provide the opportunity to explore and enjoy the beautiful Gold Coast and its surrounding areas without limitations.

In my spare time I enjoy getting out on my motorbike, exploring areas around the GC and finding new destinations to share with clients, friends and family.

I’m the Director of Happiness at Accessible Connections, a Gold Coast-based company with a singular focus: making travel comfortable and independent for everyone including their beloved furry companions.

I have now become a Certified Assistance Dog to Jane in 2024 and enjoy travelling on the tram. I take my job seriously to ensure Jane feels safe whilst out in the community. I enjoy going on walks and finding sticks but I really love naps. Having journeyed to Cairns, Melbourne and Byron Bay, I eagerly anticipate countless more road adventures ahead.
